Hello!
My Name Is Jim Garrett, and I am the new pastor at Immanuel Scott City. I am excited to be in Scott City and looking forward to meeting you and making many new friends!
I am originally from La Junta CO, have lived in Nebraska for a few years, and now have called Southwest Kansas home since 1995, Living in Dodge City. I have three grandchildren; Addy, Avery, and James, that live in Dodge City. I have two sons; Matthew and his wife Melanie live in Dodge City, and Mark and his wife Sydney live in Houston TX. My wife Patty went to be with the Lord in 2017 after battling cancer. I am working on my BA in Biblical Studies through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
As the pastor of Immanuel Scott City, it is my passion to care for the congregation and community that God has placed me in! I desire to see God's people grow in their relationship with Him, and equip them for the work of the ministry, to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. I am looking forward to forging many great friendships and relationships with the citizens of Scott City!
